Read in 2011: Yearly wrap up
Here's my list for 2011 starting with the last book I finished and going back in time to the first one I read in 2011. The stars are my rating out of 5 on Goodreads. (For more info you can friend me on Goodreads.com.) Books in bold I read for my book club. Interesting that there are only two 5 star books this year and both were non-fiction, both of which I was reluctant to read but ended up loving. Number 5 is the memoir of a woman who lost a child to full term stillbirth and it was cathartic for me to read, but also very funny -- I know that sounds odd. I could relate to SO much in this book and it was so comforting to know that my feelings were so similar to hers and so "normal" for that situation. I also read more books this year -- often I only get to the book club ones. This is partly because I started getting books on tape to listen to while driving Emma around or on my commute when I don't take the bus. I also read several fast reading mysteries which I love.

What have you all been reading and recommend? I am almost finished The Tiger's Wife by Tea Obreht. It's the book and ended up with at our December book club Yankee swap. I need to finish it up quick to get the January book club book read by mid-month.
